The Burlington Conservation Commission is responsible for the management and protection of over 250 acres of permanently protected areas of natural open space known as Conservation Areas.
Largely due to fear and misunderstanding, wetlands have been viewed as nuisance areas and have suffered severe degradation or elimination as a result.
During the Boston Area City Nature Celebration, anyone can help identify species in their communities. Watch videos about some of the plants and animals you may be able to find in your own backyard.
