Outreach

The Council on Aging has two outreach workers who are available to assist seniors and their families find resources to help seniors remain as independent as they would like to be. Appointments are preferred and strongly encouraged.

  • Brenda Pappas LSW, is available Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  
  • Andrea Cross MSW is available Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Services

Brenda Pappas is a certified SHINE counselor and the COA representative of the Lahey Hospital Domestic Violence Committee. 

The outreach workers also help seniors apply for fuel assistance, food assistance, including SNAP and other benefits and conduct wellness checks.

Caregiver Support Group

The Caregiver Support Group meets twice a month either at the senior center or virtually at 4 p.m. The group is primarily for caregivers of people with dementia symptoms but please contact Andrea Cross at 781-505-1138 or Brenda Pappas at 781-273-7010 if you have questions.
